Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: July 13, 2026

Global Career Institute provides this Refund & Cancellation Policy to help applicants and students understand general cancellation, withdrawal, and refund expectations. Students should review their official enrollment agreement before making tuition payments, as the signed enrollment agreement controls the final refund terms.

Global Career Institute is a Texas Workforce Commission Approved Exempt School.

Application Fee

The $25 application fee is non-refundable. This fee is required for admissions review and does not guarantee acceptance, enrollment, certification, licensure, job placement, or employment.

Student’s Right To Cancel

A student may cancel enrollment by submitting written notice to Global Career Institute.

Written cancellation or withdrawal notice should be sent to:

Email: enroll@globalcareerinstitute.org
Phone: (682) 400-7038
Address: 2455 Robinson Rd. Ste. 100, Grand Prairie, TX 75051

Students should include their full name, program name, phone number, email address, and requested cancellation or withdrawal date.

Three-Day Cancellation Period

A student has the right to cancel the enrollment agreement, without penalty, within 72 hours after signing the agreement, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.

If cancellation occurs within this period, the student may be eligible for a refund of all tuition and fees paid, excluding any non-refundable application fee, if applicable.

Cancellation During The Initial Attendance Period

If a student cancels after the 72-hour cancellation period but during the initial attendance period, refund eligibility will be determined according to the official enrollment agreement and applicable program policy.

The amount of tuition refunded may depend on the portion of the program completed, the student’s last date of attendance, and the refund schedule listed in the student’s agreement.

Refund Calculation

Refunds are generally calculated based on the percentage of the program completed compared with the total program hours, lessons, or required training components.

Program completion may be measured by:

  • Scheduled clock hours
  • Completed lessons
  • Completed assignments
  • Clinical or practical training components
  • Other program requirements listed in the enrollment agreement

The official enrollment agreement will determine the exact refund calculation method for each program.

Effective Date Of Termination

The effective date of termination may be based on one or more of the following:

  • The date GCI receives written cancellation or withdrawal notice
  • The student’s last date of attendance
  • The date the student is dismissed from the program
  • The date determined by the official enrollment agreement

Refund Conditions After 72 Hours

For students who cancel or withdraw after the 72-hour cancellation period, refund eligibility depends on attendance, program progress, tuition paid, and the terms of the signed enrollment agreement.

Students who stop attending without submitting written withdrawal notice may still be subject to the refund and termination rules in the enrollment agreement.

Full Refund Conditions

A full refund may be issued when required by applicable policy or if GCI cancels a program before instruction begins and does not offer a suitable alternative.

A full refund may also apply under specific conditions listed in the student’s enrollment agreement.

Programs Of 40 Clock Hours Or Less

For short programs of 40 clock hours or less, refund terms may differ from longer programs. Students should review the official enrollment agreement for the exact cancellation and refund rules that apply to their specific program.

Military Activation

Students who are called to active military service should notify GCI as soon as possible and provide supporting documentation. Refunds or enrollment adjustments may be handled according to applicable law, school policy, and the official enrollment agreement.

Refund Processing Timeframe

Refunds, if due, will be processed within the timeframe stated in the official enrollment agreement and applicable policy. Students should contact GCI directly for refund status updates.

No Verbal Refund Agreements

Refunds are governed by written school policy and the official enrollment agreement. Students should not rely on verbal statements that are not included in official written documents.
