How the Hybrid Program Works

Online, On-Demand Coursework

Complete the academic portion online at your own pace within the designated enrollment period. Coursework addresses laser safety, laser physics, skin typing and reactions, treatment protocols, eye protection, emergency procedures, CPR, client history, device use, signage, and related required topics.

In-Person Hands-On Skills

Complete practical skills training at GCI’s Grand Prairie center, 2455 Robinson Rd., Suite 100, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. Hands-on sessions are scheduled by GCI and focus on safety, client preparation, device operation, treatment protocols, and post-treatment procedures.

TDLR Apprentice Pathway

TDLR currently requires an applicant to complete an agency-accepted 40-hour laser hair removal training program, submit an online application, pay the applicable $50 state fee, and successfully pass a criminal-history background check. The TDLR-issued certificate is valid for two years.

Licensing disclaimer: GCI provides training and does not issue Texas laser hair removal certificates. Completing the program does not automatically make a student licensed or authorized to perform laser hair removal. Students must apply to TDLR and satisfy all state requirements.

Payment plans: May be available case by case. Tuition must be paid before GCI releases the program completion certificate.
